Study education support

Our education support courses will qualify you to work as a teacher's aide or in after-hours school care. Teacher's aides perform non-teaching duties and assist children with intellectual, physical, and behavioural difficulties with their academic studies. After hours school carers plan activities and provide care to children to help achieve their developmental outcomes. Whatever your career goals, TAFE Queensland can help you get there.

Demand for teacher's aides and child carers in Australia is very high with job openings over the next five years expected to be over 50,000. Employers are seeking qualified candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills who can work well as part of a team.

Our purpose-built simulated learning environments will prepare you for real-world situations while in the safety of the classroom. Our strong relationships with schools from prep to year 12 will give you experience across a range of educational settings. It will also give you a chance to meet potential employers before you graduate.
