TAFE Queensland offers a comprehensive range of electrotechnology courses with specialisations available in automation, instrumentation, renewable energy, security, and telecommunications.

The electrical services industry is one of the largest special construction industries in Australia. The digital age is creating an unprecedented demand for electricians specialising in telecommunications, instrumentation, information technology, and security and electronic control systems. There is high demand for qualified workers with over 50,000 job openings expected over the next five years.

If you're thinking of studying a diploma, certificate IV, or certificate III course you may be eligible for funding through the TAFE Priority Training Program (TPTP). This funding is available to eligible students who enrol in applicable programs after 1 July 2018.

Electrotechnology facilities

TAFE Queesland has invested more than $20 million in our electrotechnology training spaces. As a student you'll have access to high tech classrooms with specialised, industry- standard equipment including wiring bays, motor labs, winding machine rooms, a control circuits/relay logic lab, and more.
