Academic scholarships
Getting a practical, industry-connected degree just got easier thanks to TAFE Queensland’s Academic Scholarships. Save up to $750 per unit in your first semester – that could mean an extra $3,000 to help support your study journey.
Scholarships are available for new students starting in Semester 1, 2026 in selected higher education courses. Eligible students will automatically receive the scholarship upon successful enrolment, no additional applications required. Check the relevant course page for full terms and conditions.

Our music and sound production facilities will give you the hands-on skills you need to prepare for a successful career in the music industry. With live performance spaces, recording studios, and industry-standard software, our music facilities have everything you need to launch your musical career.

Fashion precinct
The fashion precinct at our Mt Gravatt campus includes fashion design workrooms featuring industrial-standard sewing machines, overlockers, industrial irons, cutting tables, and the latest digital design software. We also have specialised pattern-making studios equipped with dressmakers mannequins where you can bring your patterns to life. You'll finish your studies with a comprehensive portfolio of work and be able to showcase your designs to industry representatives and potential employers at our annual fashion parade.

Games and interactive design lab
Our games and interactive design labs feature the best in modern gaming tech, including an opti-track motion capture system, Leap Motion, and Oculus Rift Virtual Reality systems. We have a dedicated Alienware lab featuring dual touch screen monitors. The lab also showcases past and current technology such as haptic devices, arcade machines and racing and flight simulators.

Dental lab
Our dental prosthetics laboratory is fitted with top-of-the-line milling technology. With a strong focus on digital dentistry, TAFE Queensland’s laboratory is the only training facility in the state fitted with a state-of-the-art 3 Shape/Wieland CAD-CAM system. The animated design software, 3D scanner and digital milling technology is the future of dentistry and can design dental prosthetics in a fraction of the time of current moulding methods.

Acting spaces
Acting students at our South Bank campus have access to a range of specialised facilities, allowing you to develop your craft and hone your skills in a professional environment. Our fully-equipped black box theatre seats 100 and also features its own box office. The theatre is complemented by fully-fitted costume and props spaces as well as dressing rooms complete with lighted mirrors, making this a truly professional performance area. All practice spaces are fitted out with lighting and AV equipment with drop-down projection screen, ensuring a seamless transition to the stage.
Linking the theory and the practical is perfect for setting a good working foundation. TAFE Queensland has a great reputation for hands-on experience and that's something that I was always interested in.
In my previous studies in my bachelor degree back in Brazil, I had a lot of theory studies. At TAFE, I’ve been enjoying much more of a hands-on learning experience while also understanding the theory. I like that at TAFE Queensland, I get to learn and then put that learning into practice straight away.
I loved being able to ask my mentor for advice and help with particularly difficult cases during my practical placement. TAFE Queensland really provided us with all the opportunities to maximise our learning potential.

Diploma-to-degree pathways
Get two qualifications in the same time it usually takes to complete just one with our diploma-to-degree pathways. Combine the hands-on training of a diploma with the advanced knowledge of a university degree.
With a dual award you can start working and earning in your industry sooner, putting your diploma skills into practice in industry while you complete your degree qualification. Graduate ahead of the pack with academic knowledge backed up by real-world skills.
As your diploma usually counts as a full year of credit towards a three-year university degree, you'll only have two years of your degree to go once you complete your diploma. You'll then graduate with both your diploma and your bachelor qualification. Learn more >
You can choose to complete your diploma-to-degree pathway entirely through TAFE Queensland, or combine your TAFE diploma with a degree from one of our partner universities, giving you ultimate flexibility in your study journey.
