Fraser Coast Apprentice and Trainee Awards
The Fraser Coast Apprentice and Trainee Awards will bring together apprentices and trainees in their final year at TAFE Queensland and their employers for a night of networking, accolades, and entertainment, with the top achievers from each faculty and overall to be named and celebrated for their skills and dedication to their craft.
Held at Cauldron Brewing, if you’re a local apprentice or trainee this is one night not to be missed, so come along and help celebrate the talented emerging employees that are set to steer our region into the future.

Award Categories
Teachers and employers can nominate an apprentice or trainee in any of the following categories
Education and Service Industries Apprentice or Trainee of the Year
Beauty, Business, Cookery, Finance, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Early Childhood Education and Care
Community Services and Health Trainee of the Year
Ageing, Community and Disability Individual Support, Dental, Health
Construction Trades and Building Services Apprentice of the Year
Carpentry, Electrotechnology, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Wet Trades, Furnishing
Technology, Manufacturing and Creative Industries Apprentice or Trainee of the Year
Automotive, Engineering, Technology, Horticulture
*To be eligible for this category, the nominee needs to be a full-time or part-time apprentice or trainee in the respective field and finish between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.
Apprentices and trainees can nominate an employer in the following category
- Employer of the Year Award
*To be eligible for these categories, the nominee needs to be an employer and use TAFE Queensland as their training provider.
For Noosa-based builder Zye Norris, 30, undertaking his apprenticeship through TAFE Queensland was just the first step in what is now a successful career.
Local teenagers Leyah Bromhead and Milana Audesho are paving the way for other young beauty enthusiasts to earn while they learn by becoming the first in the Fraser Coast region to undertake the Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Relaxation Massage) (SHB50121) via apprenticeship.
As a fourth year apprentice in boiler making, Krystal is an inspiration to young girls and women, especially those who aspire to study engineering or take up a trade in this field.
