Course overview

With mental health problems, stress and anxiety on the rise, there is a high chance that we all have someone at work and in our lives being held back because of negative emotional reactions, ineffective communication and poor decision making. This Emotional Intelligence course not only helps people to identify the limiting beliefs and bad values that might be holding them back and to manage conflict and their own work outcomes more effectively but also, through a better understanding of human nature and improved coaching and communication skills, helps them to help their team and those around them to get more out of work and life as well.

Research has shown that people with high EQ levels are more creative, more solution focused and successful in work and business than people with higher IQ levels. Ultimately, it comes down to self-awareness, values, beliefs and thoughts. That’s what drives our performance. When our thinking isn’t right we can experience negative emotions like anger, fear, shame and sadness driven by our ego which is in turn driven by the way we see situations and the values and beliefs that we hold.

This is a non-accredited training workshop suitable for everyone irrespective of whether they hold a leadership position or not.

Throughout this course, the facilitator includes individual and group exercises, video playback, instructor led examples and opportunities to apply the principles and frameworks delivered to the current workplace and personal situations that each participant faces.

The aim of this workshop is to help participants to learn how to:

  • Overcome limiting self-beliefs to achieve more and live a truth based life.
  • Identify their true self and become more self-aware to reach their true potential.
  • Be healthier mentally, develop sustainable healthy self-esteem and stay motivated.
  • Deal more effectively with negative emotion, set healthier boundaries and make better decisions.
  • Communicate more effectively in difficult situations with an awareness of what’s likely to invite less defensiveness and more responsiveness.
  • Identify, understand and develop better values to deal appropriately with conflict and the other inevitable problems that we must face and deal with in life.
  • Use the GROW coaching model to lead, guide and help others to focus on ways forward with the issues and goals that they have.
