Pathways to the University of Southern Queensland
Get hands on and qualified to work in your industry sooner, with a Diploma to Degree pathway with TAFE Queensland and UniSQ.
A smart way to a degree
If you didn’t finish Year 12, complete the required prerequisites, or get the rank you needed, don’t worry, TAFE Queensland can help you on your journey through to university studies with a variety of alternative programs.
Completing any of our certificate III, certificate IV, diploma, advanced diploma, or associate degree courses may improve your Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) selection rank and allow you to get into your dream university degree.
Completing a TAFE Queensland practical qualification first means that you can start working in your industry straight away, using your certificate or diploma skills while you finish off your degree.
Our diploma to degree pathways often allow you to complete two qualifications in the time it usually takes to complete one alone. You’ll graduate ahead of the pack with academic knowledge backed up by real-world skills.
If you choose to study a single qualification at TAFE Queensland then decide to go to university later, you can apply for academic credit towards a degree in a similar field (e.g. complete a Diploma of Information Technology and go on to a Bachelor of Information Technology). Often this credit is as much as one year of the degree.
